Rolling Hills Estates to Host Community Roundup

Town Hall-style Event Will Connect Residents with City Updates

ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, CA – The City of Rolling Hills Estates will host the first of two town hall-style “Community Roundup” events on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 6:30pm in City Council Chambers located at 4045 Palos Verdes Drive North in Rolling Hills Estates. The meeting is open to all members of the community and will provide an opportunity for residents to interact more closely with the City Council while getting information about ongoing City projects and goals.

 This first meeting will cover five topics: the City General Plan update; the Clean Power Alliance; emergency operations planning; new state housing legislation; and ongoing/upcoming public works projects. Council members will present on each topic with a time for audience questions between topics. The goal of the event is to encourage resident awareness and participation in City matters and gain an even better understanding of community priorities and opinions.

 “We are pleased to host this event and get the chance to interact with the community in a less formal manner than traditional City Council meetings,” says Greg Grammer, City Manager of Rolling Hills Estates. “We want to reiterate that we are open and accessible to our residents, and I think this will be a great opportunity for City Council and City staff to connect with the community.”

Residents are encouraged to come as early as 6:00pm to mingle and enjoy light refreshments. The second Community Roundup is expected to take place in the Spring.
