COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Impacts:  
All recreational activities, classes and events are canceled/postponed including tennis operations and lessons; Peter Weber Equestrian Center; George F Canyon Nature Center; issuance of park permits suspended through at least through the end of March. Parks, tennis courts, trails and Preserves will remain open for the public to visit at their own discretion, with the important advisory of social distancing (6 feet between persons). This 35 acre park provides facilities to many sporting and leisure activities, including: four one-wall handball courts, multi-purpose athletic fields, a regulation basketball court, a sand volleyball court, picnic tables, barbecue pits, and a variety of playground equipment. The park also boasts a 3/4-mile running track and a bicycle path

Located at 25851 Hawthorne Boulevard between Palos Verdes Drive North and Rolling Hills Road, Ernie Howlett Park is the City’s major recreational facility.   All City parks are open "Dawn" to "Dusk."

Planning on a gathering of 20 or more? Please fill out our mandatory park permit application HERE and turn it in, with payment, to our City Hall or Ernie Howlett Park Tennis Club Office.  Reservations can be made 3 months in advance.  For any questions on availability, please contact City Hall at (310) 377-1577.
